Unveiling their newest initiative, mental health campaign group #IAMWHOLE, has announced its first names for its Music 4 Mental Health concert this November.
Taking place at the iconic Roundhouse on November 18th, the concert will showcase some of the biggest and best the music scene has to offer in the aim of raising funds to support the charity’s work.
Leading the first round of names is the unstoppable Anne-Marie. Having released her debut Speak Your Mind in April, the singer has become one of the leading voices in British contemporary music. Speaking about the event Anne-Marie said:
“It’s so important that we all speak up on mental health. The conversation and support around it is, thankfully, growing and this fundraiser will help grow that even more. I’m proud to be performing at the Music 4 Mental Health concert in November.”
She is joined by the X-Factor alumni, and current The Voice judge, Olly Murs, who’s set to bring his thrilling live show to the Roundhouse as part of the event. Speaking about the #IAMWHOLE campaing Murs said:
“I’m delighted to be performing at the first Mental Health charity event this November alongside Anne Marie, raising money for three fantastic charities. It’s important for the music industry to raise more awareness of mental health issues, and we hope this gig will help towards that.”
Joining the campaign will also be some of the UK and Ireland’s leading youth and mental health charities; the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), The Mix, and YMCA.
With more names yet to be announced and further details to come to light, there’s no doubt this will be a star-studded night, set to help de-stigmatise mental health. Tickets for the event will go on sale in early September, but for now, more details about the event can be found on the #IAMWHOLE website.
