Are Arcade Fire playing a ‘secret’ UK show?

With the rumour mill at full pelt since last night’s (Sunday 14th) secret show in Montreal, where Arcade Fire played one of their smallest shows in years to just fifty people. Voices have now surfaced of a ‘secret’ Arcade Fire show in Scunthorpe.

Supposedly taking place at the town’s Baths Hall, the show is currently being listed on the band’s website for June 7th, three days before Arcade Fire’s headline slot at the Isle of Wight festival.

This is not the first time the band have announced a series of surprise shows in the buildup to festivals. Last year they announced a show in Barcellona days before their headline slots at NOS Alive and Bilbao BBK, and in 2013 the Canadian supergroup played a series of shows under the pseudonym The Reflektors.
