Baby Queen drops brand-new banger, ‘Buzzkill’

Following up her debut single, ‘Internet Religion‘, Bella Latham (aka Baby Queen) has dropped a brand spanking new, grunge-tinged track – ‘Buzzkill’.

Taking the opportunity to open up, ‘Buzzkill’ sees Bella detail the inner turmoil of trying to numb depression and anxiety with partying, all while trying to mask the unhappiness.

Talking about Buzzkill, Baby Queen said: “I wrote it during a time when I was severely depressed, just before I went on antidepressants, and I was partying a lot, but I was so incredibly unhappy. I remember the exact moment the idea came to me. I was at an after-party in East London sitting at a table, and I began to cry. My friends looked at me and they were like ‘here we go again…’ and I was like ‘THIS! THIS is IT! I have to go.’ And I went straight home to start writing it.”

The resulting track is an introspective slice of grunge-pop that quickly works its way into an earworm. And we can’t wait to hear more from Baby Queen.

We caught up with Bella as she released her debut single to find out what makes her Baby Queen. You can catch the full feature over here.
