Launching their 2018 programming, Apple Music’s worldwide radio station, Beats 1, has announced two new shows.
Taking the airwaves from the station’s new London office, former NME New Bands editor Matt Wilkinson will broadcast five days a week starting January 8th. Wilkinson will also be joined by Beastie Boys’ Matt D for a one-off show on January 15th.
Apple Music’s playlist curator, Carl Cherry, will also be heading up a new show, #OnRepeat Live With Carl Chery, which will air Mondays to Wednesdays.
Staying in its 5pm slot, Zane Lowe’s flagship show will also be receiving an encore from 8am. Julie Adegua’s show will shift to 2pm, and expand to five days a week with Fridays dedicated to highlighting new music.
Moving into Adegua’s old slot, New York host Ebro Darden will take to the airwaves at 8pm Mondays to Thursdays.
