Black Honey are here to help ‘Disinfect’ you

Surprisingly penned before the pandemic, Black Honey have released their aptly titled track, ‘Disinfect’.

Grabbing you from the off, the punchy track is what can only be described as yet another banger from the band. It’s commanding air of immediacy, as Izzy snarls “disinfect the disaffected” through its crashing chorus bringing a stark reminder about the state of the world right now.

The track is a huge, politically-charged anthem, and as Izzy explains: “Disinfect to me is like watching the school bus burn down. We wrote it before the pandemic but it feels like a premonition of things to come.”

Accompanied by visuals depicting a patchwork of news coverage and end-of-the-world clips, challenging the viewer to face the state of the world and question certain world leaders who may have blood on their hands. Izzy says: ‘The video is a commentary piece, I love collage and this one is like looking directly at our reality in a mirror… it’s really honest’.

The track follows on from Black Honey’s last, foot-stomping, single ‘Believer’, from the band’s upcoming second album Written and Directed.

Set for release on March 19th, Written and Directed is available to pre-order now. The band will be heading on a small headline tour in September, full tour dates below.
