Bon Iver cancel European tour

2017. The year of optimism after that 366 day long disappointment. Oh wait … what’s that we hear, Bon Iver have cancelled their European tour? Scratch all that New Year happiness, let’s wallow in sadness.

In case you missed it, American folk rock outfit Bon Iver hit back with their first album in 5 years, 22, A Million, to huge praise. To slot in nicely alongside the album’s release, a rather healthy looking run of tour dates were announced, including 5 shows in varying locations around London.

Announcing the news earlier today, the band cited personal reasons for the cancellations which, well, can’t really be disputed – and of course we wish all the best to the Bon Iver crew. Still, this news is gutting for all those lucky sods who had tickets. But hey, life goes on and all that … I guess.

All tickets for the European tour will be refunded, and there’s no news at the moment on rescheduling shows.

What a bummer.
