DICE partner with London’s Islington Assembly Hall to create first “Mobile Only” venue

London’s Islington Assembly Hall is set to become the first venue in the UK to become ‘mobile only’ after the venue today announced its partnership with ticketing company DICE.

The move is set to help curb the plague of touting, something that DICE has been adamant in doing since it was founded just over three years ago. With tickets locked to the user’s account once bought, the app is made to make it impossible for ticket bots to snap up tickets to shows.

The partnership, branded as a “Touts Out. Fans In” movement is the first of it’s kind in the UK, talking about it DICE’s head of events, Russ Tannen said: “In a world where you can travel internationally using just your phone, we believe this is not a step into the future but simply the present. When venues ditch tout-friendly paper tickets and embrace mobile, literally everyone wins except for the touts. Islington Assembly Hall is the ideal venue partner, it’s an iconic London venue with a forward thinking team behind it.”

To celebrate the partnership DICE and The Islington Assembly Hall are giving away a pair of tickets to every show at the venue this year, all you have to do is visit DICE.FM/SEASONPASS to enter.

The DICE app is available to download now on IOS and Android, for more information on DICE head over to the DICE website.
