Name: NOS Alive
Where: Lisbon, Portugal
When: 6 – 8 July
Nos Alive has been one of Europe’s leading festivals for a number of years now. Having set up shop in 2007, near Lisbon’s downtown district and 15 minutes from the beach, their very first lineup included the likes of Pearl Jam and The White Stripes.
Following in its history of never failing to draw in the best, this year’s lineup sees the likes of The Weeknd, Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, The xx, Royal Blood, Alt-J, Glass Animals, Savages, Wild Beasts, Local Natives, Cage the Elephant and Warpaint take to the stage in Lisbon.
If this year’s lineup wasn’t enough of a clue NOS Alive is known for its huge names, having seen Pearl Jam, White Stripes and Linkin Park in its first year the lineups have done nothing but get better. With Rage Against The Machine, The National, The Prodigy, Kasabian, Paramore, Arcade Fire, Foals and The Cure all having taken the stage before.
Also look out for:
If pulling in some of this year’s biggest names wasn’t enough NOS Alive takes place in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. Just 10 minutes away from Lisbon’s downtown, and 15 minutes away from the beach NOS Alive is a metropolitan festival like no other. So if you want sun, sand and some amazing music NOS Alive is the festival for you.
NOS Alive – formerly known as Oeiras Alive! and Optimus Alive!, will take place in July, as it has done since 2009, with the action this year taking place from the 6th-8th. Tickets for this year’s edition of the festival are available now from €59+fees for day tickets, with weekend tickets having sold out! For more info and tickets head over to the NOS Alive website
