Currently tucked away putting the finishing touches to her debut album, Girl In Red (aka. Marie Ulven) has shared her stunning queer Christmas track – ‘Two Queens In A King Sized Bed’.
Joining Annie Mac on her radio show this evening, Marie unveiled that the idea for the song came last year while she was on tour: “I actually decided last year this was the time to write a Christmas song, but I didn’t have the time because I was touring and I didn’t make it.”
The track then resurfaced as she was recording for her debut, “I was just like in the studio working on my album and I played it and I was just like ‘i really want the world to hear this song’. Sometimes you have to go with your gut in the middle of an album session you’re just like ‘no we’re going to make a Christmas song’.”
Back in August, Marie shared the first track to be taken from her upcoming debut, ‘Rue‘. With more info on the debut album expected to drop soon, for now ‘Two Queens In A King Size Bed’ is exactly what we needed to warm up our winter a little bit.
