The world’s greatest music festival have today shared their first wave of artists, featuring headliners Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney – who will join the pre-announced Billie Eilish on the famous Pyramid Stage.
Headed by Michael and Emily Eavis, Glastonbury’s 2022 lineup makes an immense statement regarding festival gender splits – boasting a roster with as much clout as ever before, whilst ensuring equal (or close to equal) representation.
Displayed, as always, in alphabetical order, the lineup poster gives very little away in regards to stages or set times, but rest assured there are some big hitters fighting it out for the top spots on this year’s bill. Pilton mainstays Elbow return in 2022, with Fontaines D.C. and IDLES – who stole the show between them at Glastonbury’s 2019 event – both set to make an appearance.
Pop and Alt-pop alike both get a great shout on this year’s lineup, with Caroline Polachek, Charli XCX, Olivia Rodrigo and Griff all featuring. Add to this the festival behemoths that are Wolf Alice, Primal Scream, Foals and Noel Gallagher, and we can’t help but wonder where all of these artists could possibly fit.
One thing we can say for certain is that Little Simz shall headline the West Holts Stage, after the stellar reaction from the artist’s sixth album Sometime, I Might Be Introvert.
