Introducing: Bad Nerves

In a music world dominated by R&B and hip-hop, it’s refreshing to hear some raw, punchy, enigmatic punk music; brought to us by East London boys Bad Nerves. Despite only having four songs available on streaming platforms, Bad Nerves are already beginning to cause a stir among punk fans. With their brash vocals and heavy guitar riffs, the band’s refreshing modern-punk style leaves us wanting so much more.

Taking heavy influence from bands of the 70s/80s like The Clash, Ramones and Sex Pistols, Bad Nerves have revitalised the classic punk sound and made it their own. Of the four singles they’ve released as of yet, ‘Radio Punk’ is the clear standout: with a soaring chorus and high-energy guitar throughout, it’s impossible to listen to just once – a true punk anthem. The B-side, ‘Last Beat’, is even faster paced and provides what will be an instant favourite for the crowd’s inevitable mosh pits. Only recently have they finished a UK tour supporting Liverpool’s High Tyde, and the band documented the exciting journey with a handheld video camera; all of which can be viewed on their Facebook or Twitter pages. If anything is obvious after listening to their music, it’s that Bad Nerves are truly raising the bar for modern punk bands.

Check out their new single ‘Can’t Be Mine’, above.
