The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Dandy Warhols and more join Victorious Festival

Today came the first signs of a properly good Spring, and also the latest line-up additions to this year’s Victorious Festival. Taking place on August Bank Holiday weekend (25th-27th August), the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival have shown that they mean business with the third wave of artists on an already impressive line-up.

The festival already includes headliners Stereophonics, Elbow, and Madness, as well as pop acts Olly Murs and Rita Ora. Among those on the third instalment are what festival director Andy Marsh describes as “stone-cold legends”, and “the very best of up and coming British indie rock” … and he’s not wrong!

The renowned Scottish noise-rock pioneers The Jesus and Mary Chain have joined the bill, right off the back of their new album ‘Damage and Joy’ (which reached no.1 on the Independent Albums Chart last week), as well as special Sunday guests The Dandy Warhols, who will bring their sun-tinted sound to the seaside. Honing in on the indie-rock category, the festival will also host the Geordie titans Maximo Park, and the neo-psych outfit Temples.

In addition, the festival has bagged some of the hyped cohort of 2016, including The Hunna, and Bad Sounds to go alongside veteran rockers Band of Skulls and already-announced Franz Ferdinand and The Charlatans. With only a portion of the line-up already announced, it’s really a wonder as to how high Victorious Festival will raise the bar this year.

What’s better still … is that us lot over at RIOT have got a pair of Sunday tickets to give away, giving you the opportunity to squeeze Elbow, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Franz Ferdinand, The Dandy Warhols, Slaves, and many, many more. For your chance to win, follow this link and the simple instructions!
