Returning with his first solo track, London multi-instrumentalist JJ Draper has unveiled the enchanting ‘Zero-Sum’. The brooding new track takes influences from the likes of Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens to create a stunning instrumental backdrop for Draper’s soft-spoken lyrics.
Talking about his first official release, Draper described ‘Zero Sum’ as “a song about emotional dislocation, regret and apology. I think the track reflects my inability at the time to comprehend the confusing emotions of a relationship ending.”
“It’s taken me a long time to piece together and adopt the lessons that needed learning, to process the guilt and fractured memories in the songs into something coherent.”
JJ Draper plays The Islington on Sunday 19th November, for more info, tickets and everything else visit JJ Draper’s website.
