KOOLKID to release new single ‘We’re So Blind’

Rising pop outfit KOOLKID’s third self-penned single ‘We’re So Blind’, is now available to pre-save with a 1st May release. Coming off an extensive UK tour and tracks written for K-pop royalty BTS across their two previous albums, the single is the chart-topping star’s next career move.

The singer-songwriter has definitely kicked it up a notch on both sonic and vocal abilities with this latest offering, which follows his cleverly-crafted prior productions; his debut single ‘2 SOON’ and follow up track ‘Feelings’.

‘We’re So Blind’ is a soaring, modern pop ballad which paints a picture of modern society. It revels in KOOLKID’s emotional vocals and producer/co-writer Lewis Gardiner (formerly of Scottish band Prides)- having already worked together on three singles to date.

Building his musical identity since the age of 15, KOOLKID’s songwriting acumen is clearly worth accolades; with lyrics such as “We ain’t got time for faces, we’ve got Facetime now” and “I saw just yesterday the Amazon is up in flames, but we just keep our heads down”, this track in particular has a resounding familiarity with the reality that is the COVID lockdown.

Lyrically memorable and sonically catchy, the single is a forward-thinking, brave production that peels back the layers of humanity, exposing the reality behind it. In addition to this pre-summer pop smash, the singer is due to perform his debut headline show at Glasgow’s Garage (Attic) on 27th November – where he hopes to showcase some unreleased material. So there’s plenty on offer for KOOLKID fans this year and there is a silver lining, as 2020 inches closer to cancellation.
