The legendary rockstar, Tom Petty, best known for fronting Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers has died at the age of 66.
Having been yesterday evening in his Malibu home unconscious and not breathing, Tom Petty was taken to UCLA Santa Monica and put on life support, where he later died.
The county fire department confirmed they rushed to a Malibu home shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday, responding to a call of an unconscious patient in cardiac arrest.
Petty had just finished his 50 date 40th-anniversary tour at the Hollywood Bowl last Monday.
