With just hours togo until the Mercury Prize awards show, for which his debut Yesterday’s Gone has been nominated, Loyle Carner has released the latest video for his album track ‘Sun Of Jean’.
The powerful song, which features vocal and piano samples from Loyle’s late father, and spoken word from his mum is a chilling offcut from the album, filled with emotion. The video, directed by João Retorta touches on the life of Loyle, and several of his friends, celebrating the importance of their mums in their lives.
Loyle Carner is set to embark on a UK tour later this month, kicking off in Dublin on September 27th the tour will see him headline his biggest show to date at Brixton’s iconic Academy. For a full list of tour dates look over here.
