The National unveil new song ‘Carin At The Liquor Store’

With exactly a month to go until the release of their 7th studio album, The National have shared ‘Carin At The Liquor Store’. Just premiered by Zane Lowe over on his Beats1 show, the piano-driven number is stunning; barefaced and vulnerable, it’s half-love song, half-desperate confession from a husband to his wife.

It’s the third cut from Sleep Well Beast, following ‘The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness’ and ‘Guilty Party’, with the album out September 8th on 4AD.

Listen to ‘Carin At The Liquor Store’ and check out the band’s sold-out UK tour dates below, including a huge 4-night run at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
