Hawkwind, formed in 1969 by ex-busker and ‘The Captain of The Ship’, Dave Brock, have kept their tumultuous ship sailing for almost 50 years. Amassing almost 30 albums in their career, the now 5 piece set up have been heavily influential to the likes of Leftfield and The Chemical Brothers, and this astonishing longevity has led them through a whole bundle of line-up changes.
Having an alumni stretching from Ginger Baker to Lemmy has meant Hawkwind have built up quite the reputation in their existence, and with their trademark single Silver Machine still boggling minds, their headline gig at The Refectory, Leeds on 16th March 2017 is one that’s not to be missed!
… and as if things weren’t spacey enough already, Hawkwind will be joined by the atmospheric Bradford four-piece Glass Mountain.
