A Ri-ku:

Omicron Persei 8
the future is bleak

Black Country, New Road // Concorde
BC,NR continue to make astonishingly good art through fusing jangled post-rock with observational and self-aware songwriting. The 7-piece have also made a record of covers, featuring their takes on ABBA, MGMT and Adele.. yep.

JennyLee // Tickles
Warpaint’s Jenny Lee Lindberg continues her singles club with the 7″ vinyl of ‘Tickles’. The track has an immense haunting quality which is matched only by its irresistible groove, with production coming from Trentemøller.

Black Bordello // Drones
Peckham trio Black Bordello filter traditional punk through an art-pop kaleidoscope to create a sound with a hell of a lot to unpack, and a hell of a lot to love. New EP White Bardo arrives in March via Hideous Mink.

Mosa Wild // Expect me
Light the fireplace, pour yourself a drink and indulge in the cockle-warming songwriting of Jim Rubaduka. ‘Expect Me’ is our first taste of Mosa Wild’s new EP – out next year.

Alix Page // Radiohead
20 year-old Alix Page has a maturity in her songwriting that is far beyond her years. Currently touring the US with both Alfie Templeman and Gracie Abrams, Page will be conquering this side of the Atlantic too in no time. Alix sounds quite a lot like Phoebe Bridgers, who seems to be pretty well-liked.

MNNQNS // Full Circle Back
Normandy 4-piece MNNQNS oversee a harmonious marriage of influences from both sides of the French channel. ‘Full Circle Back’ is a delicious slice of hooky noise-rock: get us to an indie disco asap.

Nick Mono // Anywhere in the World
Talk about a main character headphone moment. Nick Mono makes sun-drenched slacker tunes, with a flow to their lyrics that complete a pretty fucking sick jigsaw.
