Denmark’s Roskilde Festival has added 29 new names to the lineup for its 2017 edition, including A Tribe Called Quest, Lorde, Gucci Mane and Rag’n’Bone Man.
Hip-hop legends A Tribe Called Quest were a defining group for hip-hop in the 1990s. Following an 18-year-long absence, they made their comeback last year with the highly acclaimed We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service.
Following her UK and US chart-topping breakthrough Royals, New Zealand’s Lorde is preparing a followup to her impressive debut album Pure Heroine. The 20-year-old, who has been compared to a young Kate Bush, was celebrated by the late David Bowie for her minimalist and poetic take on modern pop music.
Joining these two impressive additions is the original king of Atlanta hip-hop, Gucci Mane and one of the UK’s most exciting talents, Rag’n’Bone Man. Following his hit single Human, the release of his debut album in February is gathering significant anticipation.
Roskilde takes place in Roskilde, Denmark between 24th June and 2nd July. Tickets for the week-long extravaganza are on sale from 2020.00 DDK (£233) now. For more information, tickets and a full lineup, click here.
