Run The Jewels drop RTJ4 two days early

Originally scheduled to come out this Friday (5th June), Run The Jewels have announced the surprise drop of their fourth album, RTJ4.

Taking to social media the band said “Fuck it, why wait. The world is infested with bullshit so here’s something raw to listen to while you deal with it all. We hope it brings you some joy. Stay safe and hopeful out there and thank you for giving two friends the chance to be heard and do what they love.”

The album is available to stream now, as well as to download for free from the band’s website.

RTJ4 pools in an all star cast of guests, including Pharrell Williams, Mavis Staples, 2 Chainz, Zack de la Rocha, JoshHomme, DJ Premier and Greg Nice.

Recorded primarily in New York, the album represents two intense years of writing and recording.

Since their last album, Run The Jewels 3the pair, made up of Killer Mike and EL-P, have been hard at work doing everything from soundtracking films, touring the world alongside Lorde and launched their own beers.

Run The Jewels are set to join Rage Against The Machine on a world tour in 2021.
