The second track from Lily Moore’s upcoming EP is upbeat and funky, a pleasant contrast to her first song, ‘Not That Special’. The debut single was sensitive and mellow, so Moore has decided to take a different approach to its follow up; giving us a funky, fun track best played at full volume.
Moore’s husky, polished vocals, akin to those of Amy Winehouse, make it hard to believe that this is a singer at the start of her career and not one with years of professional experience. The richness of her voice is accompanied by simple instrumentals, mainly a playful, catchy guitar riff that plays throughout, giving the track great summer vibes. Moore’s debut EP is released 25 April via Virgin Records, and is undoubtedly one to keep an eye out for.
Lily Moore is set to take the stage alongside George Ezra at London’s Brixton Academy on April 3rd, and takes on her debut headline show at London’s Slaughtered Lamb on May 1st. Tickets for the show are available to purchase now for £6.
