Single Review: Khmlwugh // Homeshake

After the release of his mellow album ‘Fresh Air’ in February, Peter Sagar aka Homeshake, has released the music video for latest single Khmlwugh. An anagram for the song’s motto, “kissin’, huggin’, makin’ lovin’, wakin’ up and gettin’ high”, Khmlwugh is a woozy take on romanticism. While the track brings in an affable sound with a muzzy electronica-core, Homeshake’s vocals rise above in a high-pitched ear-wrapping manner. Doubled up with the song’s music video, the video’s director Jim Larson sums up the experience best – calling it a “dream like ode to the patterns of love“, and yet “a little fucked up”.

Alongside the release of ‘Fresh Air’, and a string of singles including Khmlwugh, Peter Sagar will bring his musical project across to the UK for a string of dates including 2 nights at London’s Scala in May. Homeshake will play the following:

17th – Scala, London (Sold Out)
18th – The Great Escape, Brighton
20th – CCA, Glasgow
21st – Brudenell, Leeds
22nd – Sugar Club, Dublin
23rd – Gorilla, Manchester (Sold Out)
24th – Scala, London
