Single Review: Somebody Better // Black Honey

All set to embark on a UK headline tour this Thursday, feisty Brighton quartet Black Honey have released yet another banger to add to their already extensive list in the form of upbeat single, ‘Somebody Better’. The band, consisting of Izzy B Phillips (guitar, vocals), Chis Ostler (guitar), Tom Dewhurst (drums), and Tommy Taylor (bass), already have a string of catchy songs under their belts, including ‘Hello Today’, ‘All My Pride’, and ‘Corrine’, and their new track certainly lives up to expectations.

Opening with a brief static-ky intro, the song kick starts with bold drums, confident chords, and could well be the ballsy theme tune of a super cool action movie. Full of catchy riffs, brash guitar, and Izzy’s trademark super sweet vocals, the track is further proof of a band doing everything right, and we can only hope for news of a debut album in the not too distant future.
