Hailing from Tunbridge Wells in Kent, four-piece experimental pop band Lectures have provided fans with a beautifully dark electronic tune in the form of new single, ‘Your Whatever’.
Notably reminiscent of artists such as Massive Attack and Muse, the band fuse prominent vocals and progressively heavy synth to create an intense and high impact sound. Describing the track, vocalist and guitarist Jacob Norris states “The song is about possession, and aims to take the listener down a path of no return… sort of. We think the artwork is a good reflection of the song itself – it is ugly, sparkly and greedy”.
With a succession of tracks already under their belts, it will be interesting to see the path that the band carve out for themselves with their intriguing, individual sound.
