Taking on the song’s lyrics Matty said: “I think what I always do, I always try and juxtapose happy music with sad lyrics. Something like that. This is just straight up vibing instead”

Talking about Music For Cars the band confirmed the album will have 22 tracks long, spanning roughly one hour twenty minutes. Talking about the content of it Matty dropped that “there is an acknowledgement of an end of an era, it references every part of the 1975 catalogue. We made it on the road and it’s taken as long as it’s taken”

He also continued “this is not our last album, we’re not going to do anything like ‘we’re breaking up’.”

Talking about their future plans the band told Annie Mac that “When we finish touring at the end of this year theres a few really specific projects lined up.”, hinting that the film Matty mentioned at the start of the stream may be one of them.
