Having kicked off their 2019 lineup last week with the festival’s first 12 names, Roskilde has returned with a new addition, The Cure.
Set to bring their sixth performance to the Danish festival, The Cure are set to close the festival’s orange stage on Saturday 6th July. With their back catalogue spanning over 40 years, the British rockers are renown for their epic sets, and Roskilde’s will be no different.
Speaking about the new addition, head of programming Anders Wahrén says: “The Cure are in every way the perfect closing act for next year’s edition of Roskilde Festival. They have an immense back catalogue of hits and beloved classics from the past 40 years, and their remarkably close relationship with our audience will surely create a special and very moving atmosphere. When they asked to play the final weekend show on Orange Stage, we didn’t hesitate for a second. They can play for hours on end if they want to, and I won’t miss a second of it.”
