The Kooks announced as headliner for Community Festival London 2019

Returning for its third instalment, North London one day extravaganza Community Festival has unveiled that The Kooks will be headlining this year’s festival.

Celebrating their 15th year as a band The Kooks will take over London’s Finsbury Park for their biggest headline show to date, seeing them play infront of 40,000 fans.

Talking about headlining the festival, Kooks’ frontman Luke Prichard said: “It’ll be 15 years since we first formed as a band next year, and I can’t think of any better way to celebrate than headlining our biggest show to date at Community 2019. It’s been an incredible journey that’s taken us around the world, playing to so many of you and changing our lives completely – we can’t wait to have the biggest party of the summer. See you there x”

Joining The Kooks at Community Festival will also be an incredible supporting lineup, headed up by Stockport’s very own Blossoms. Alongside them will also be Kate Nash, The Amazons, Gerry Cinnamon, The Academic, Sea Girls and Bloxx.

With more names still to be added to the festival’s lineup, this will no doubt be an indie day out not to be missed. Tickets for the festival are on sale now, from £40 + fees, via the Community Festival website. For more info on the weekender head over to our Community Festival Profile.
